Buxton Lodge is a warm and inviting family home that accommodates up to three children of any sex and gender. The home provides a bespoke care package, tailored to the unique needs of children and young people between the ages of 8 and 18 who may be experiencing social and emotional difficulties, mental health issues, and mild learning difficulties.
The residence is nestled in the serene suburbs of Thornton Heath, providing easy access to numerous parks, leisure centres, outdoor activities, and local shopping centres. It is not just a space, but a cozy and welcoming space, mirroring the warmth of a traditional family home.
The bedrooms are not just rooms but designed for comfort and personalisation each equipped with high-quality suites, including a double bed, headboard, wardrobe, chests of drawers and desk. We actively encourage each young person to make up their own room upon arrival, and to personalise it in a way that is comfortable to them.
The kitchen, diner, and breakfast room are not just functional, but promoted as vital social spaces, and separate lounge rooms are strategically placed for children’s engagement.
The bathrooms are not just facilities, but also outfitted with modern amenities. We want the children and young people to feel that this is their home, and not just another placement. We strive to create an environment that fosters a sense of safety and security.
